How We Started
Our company was founded in 2019 by Joshua Greene and Robert Holder, two veterans with over 40 years of combined experience in the IT and Government industry. They both share a vision of creating a company that would serve the public sector with integrity, innovation, and excellence.

With beginnings rooted in the military, he enlisted at the young age of 17 and showcased exemplary service in deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Joshua's forte in the military spanned an impressive range of communications, from radio and satellite communications to cybersecurity and system administration. His dedication and expertise saw him transition from active duty to vital IT engineering roles at the Department of Defense (DOD) and the National Security Agency (NSA).
But his ambitions were vast and varied. Pursuing academic excellence, he embarked on a journey at the University of Texas at Dallas, earning a Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Here, Joshua was not just another student; he was at the forefront of revolutionary research. He delved deep into AI, robotics, prosthetics, and even cardiovascular disease research, consistently pushing the boundaries of what was possible.
Then came a twist in his journey. Merging his varied expertise and fulfilling a lifelong dream, he took the leap into the legal world. As a lawyer, Joshua seamlessly integrates his comprehensive knowledge in national security, biomedical engineering, and law to command the helm at Alcyon Global. Today, his role as CEO sees him fostering formidable collaborations with industry powerhouses, ensuring Alcyon’s legacy of being at the cutting edge of innovation, service, and excellence. Robert Holder is the co-founder and COO of Alcyon Global. He is a highly accomplished executive with over two decades of experience in leading and managing complex IT projects for various government and private sector clients. He started his career as an F-15 Avionics Engineer in the U.S. Air Force in 2000, then cross trained into Informa
Robert Holder is the co-founder and COO of Alcyon Global. He is a highly accomplished executive with over two decades of experience in leading and managing complex IT projects for various government and private sector clients. He started his career as an F-15 Avionics Engineer in the U.S. Air Force in 2000, then cross trained into Information Technology (IT) in 2004 where he gained valuable skills and knowledge in cybersecurity and system administration. He rose through the ranks and became an IT Manager in 2012, overseeing the security and performance of critical network systems for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Justice (DOJ).
After separating from Active Duty in 2010, he joined Nokia as the Software Upgrade Manager for North America, where he was responsible for planning and executing software updates for the company’s telecommunications products and services. He demonstrated his technical expertise and business acumen by delivering high-quality results and ensuring customer satisfaction. He also pursued his MBA degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, graduating in 2021. Robert currently works as the Payment Integrity Manager for United Healthcare, one of the largest health insurance providers in the U.S. He manages a $26 billion business unit that focuses on reducing fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare payments. Now he plans to leverage his experience and knowledge in IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics, healthcare, and digital transformation to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of Alcyon Global LLC as the Chief Operating Officer.
